My Approach

I believe we all need to be respected and listened to without judgement. I work using a person-centred approach, tending to you as an individual. I will bring respect and acknowledgement to your past and present, and together we can begin to explore hopes for your future.

As an integrative therapist, some of the core approaches I keep in mind are:

Person-centred

Your inner authority is at the heart of therapy. My role is to support your deepest self to have a voice by bringing curiosity, compassion and respect.

Body, Feelings & Mind

We might work together to build a more curious and compassionate relationship with your sensations, feelings and thoughts.

When explored safely and securely, these parts of our experience can give us clues about our deeper patterns and beliefs that may be limiting us in the present.

Becoming more aware of the body can be particularly helpful if you have experienced trauma, and we might work together to build this relationship slowly and safely, if it feels right for you.

Relational

I believe we all have a desire to be seen and understood, and so I nurture an atmosphere of supportive curiosity. If it feels right for you, we might also explore how our relationship reflects or differs from your wider relationships outside the therapeutic space.

Systemic

I also include awareness of the wider patterns that can influence our lives, such as cultural, religious or gender-based structures.

Holding this wider context in mind can help us find greater understanding and compassion for our experiences.
